Windies B head coach said he expected Marlon Samuels to make a positive impact on the team during the Regional Super50 competition that bowled off on Wednesday.

Despite not winning the Regional Super50 title since the 2005-2006 season, captain of the Guyana Jaguars Leon Johnson believes his team has what it takes to go all the way this season.

Shane Shillingford, captain of the defending Super50 champions the Windward Islands Volcanoes, said his team will not be intimidated by the fact that they play against star-studded teams when the competition bowls off on Wednesday.

Canada and the United States are set to take part in the Cricket West Indies Regional Super50 Cup when the tournament bowls off next Wednesday in Trinidad with defending champions, the Windward Volcanoes, taking on the Trinidad & Tobago Red Force at the Queen’s Park Oval.   

Locally based members of the Reggae Girlz are scheduled to the island on Sunday for Texas in the United States where they begin their campaign in the CONCACAF Women's Championships from October 4-17.

Head coach of Jamaica’s Reggae Girls, Hue Menzies, is tempering expectations for the national team who has been drawn alongside Canada, Costa Rica, and Cuba in Group B of the CONCACAF Women’s Championships set for the United States next month.

Anthony Bramble will captain a 14-member Windies ‘B‘ squad named to compete in the Cricket Canada Summerfest from Wednesday, August 29 to September 7, 2018.
