Craig Butler, the agent and adoptive father to Bayer Leverkusen star and Jamaica international Leon Bailey, says Jamaica’s football coaching staff is too defensive-minded during games, and he believes their egos will not improve the country’s football.

Maltese Premier League side St Andrews FC were to have played against Red Stripe Premier League team, Waterhouse FC on Sunday at Drewsland, but the Jamaica Football Federation has declined to give the game its stamp of approval.

Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) president Michael Ricketts has called on Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey and his agent Craig Butler to have some humility in their dealings with the organisation.

Young Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey and his agent and guardian Craig Butler have pledged €15,000 ($JA2,315,421) to aid stricken former national striker Luton Shelton.

In light of the recent impasse between Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, his agent and adoptive father Craig Butler and the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) over its alleged unfair selection policy, the latter has moved to clarify its position on how players are considered for selection to the national senior team, the Reggae Boyz.

Leon Bailey’s impasse with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has reportedly caught the attention of Bayer Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler, who has expressed his displeasure with the player and his agent, Craig Butler.
